This lotion contains bakuchiol (0.1%), known as the plant-based alternative to retinol. It has a lower risk of irritation, so it's the ideal choice for more sensitive skin or if you're using retinoids on your body for the first time. Bakuchiol stimulates cell renewal and helps increase firmness. The formula also contains retinal, which has very similar properties to retinol but is absorbed more quickly and is better tolerated by the skin. The combination of bakuchiol and retinal helps reduce enlarged pores and improve skin texture, leaving it softer, more even and smoother. Another key ingredient in this lotion is niacinamide, which helps strengthen the skin barrier and even out skin tone. A versatile ingredient that works wonders on post-blemish spots.
Now comes the most important part of the formula if you have rough skin. It contains a combination of AHA and BHA chemical exfoliants: glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids.
